While researching the David Mellinger line of York Co., Penn.(earlier Lancaster Co.), a good amount of data was collected on several other Mellinger lines. The purpose of these pages is to share that information and receive feedback which may untangle the Mellinger branches in Lancaster and York Counties.

The focus of this site is on Mellinger families who were in Lancaster County or York County in the 18th and very early 19th centuries. The information presented has generally been limited to data from original sources or secondary extracted/compiled sources. Several spellings of Mellinger (Millinger, Mollinger, etc.) have been included.

When possible family groupings have been presented. "Un-linked" Mellingers are listed by Given Name. As in any research effort, errors occur in copying data or in making conclusions.
